I switched to the Deep Cleansing Wash from the original Proactive Wash about a year ago. I have been a fan of proactive for a long time. For me, I like this wash better than the original one because it feels great and does not stain my towels (as the original one used to).

I bought this Proactiv solution because the description says it's also for the body. I recently broke out on my chest so I wanted something to help get rid of the acne. This wash made my acne worse! Every time I used it, my chest would get red and the next day, I'd have a couple more new break outs. I kept using it, thinking it would just take some time. But it's been a month! There has been NO improvement. Maybe I was just allergic to it or the texture was too rough for my skin. Anyway, it was a big waste of money. I started using some Neutrogena products today and I already see an improvement. I'm never buying any Proactiv products again.

I'VE BEEN USING THIS PRODUCT FOR OVER A MONTH NOW AND HAVEN'T NOTICE ONE SLIGHT CHANGE, I'M JUST HOPING THAT IT WILL WORK OVER TIME AND IT'S JUST NOT A QUICK FIX. I HAVE BEEN USING IT ON A REGULAR BASIS SOMETIMES EVEN TWICE A DAY HOPING TO SPEED THE PROCESS UP? YOU HAVE TO SQUEEZ THE BOTTLE VERY HARD TO GET THE GEL TO COME OUT AND THE CRYSTAL ARE VERY UNPLEASEANT! IM A LITTLE DISAPPOINTED JUST BECAUSE I'VE BEEN WAITING TO TRY THIS STUFF FOR A FEW MONTHS NOW JUST DIDNT WANT TO PAY THAT MUCH FOR AN ACNE TREATMENT. HOPEFULY IT WILL WORK OVER TIME CROSSING MY FINGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd DEFINITELY recommend this product! This is good for the skin... my pimples cleared and my blemishes vanished slowly after a month or two! I LOVE IT! :)

Proaciv is a highly effective acne treatment brand but, here's the catch - you have to keep at it. Firstly, it takes a few weeks before you see significant results. This is the case for any acne treatment product really - you just HAVE to be consistent and give it time. So, folks looking for a quick solution to their problem (i.e. - clearing up your skin in time for prom or a wedding, for example) will be disappointed.
Secondly, it is not a magic potion capable of "curing" acne. Once you stop using the product, your acne will return unless you take active steps to maintain the health of your skin. It is often believed that merely using a product can be the only change made to help your skin. Clear skin is about more than just using the right brands.... having clear skin is about understanding skin.
Overall, I'd say use this product if you can afford to consistently buy it. If you can't, understand the ways to help keep your skin healthy since, if you don't take those steps, it is HIGHLY likely be disappointed once you stop using Proactiv.
Side note: Do use all three components of the set if you can. Since it was formulated to work as a set, it is better to use it that way in the end.
